Karen & Jonathan spread out their wedding over three days. They began with a rehearsal dinner overlooking the city and ended with a post-wedding brunch on a terrace at the St. Regis, Atlanta. Jade Lee Events did an incredible job bringing this couple’s vision of a timeless, luxe celebration to life, steeped in the historical atmosphere of the location. They were married on the lawns of the lovely Swan House, where we photographed them and their wedding party before heading over to a ballroom reception in another of the museum’s stately buildings.

Katie’s Favorite Memory: The reception at this event was so fun, starting with Karen and Jonathan dancing to the same first dance song as his parents’ wedding, and ending with a soul train DJ E-Clazz emceed. Even little Ashley, Karen’s niece and the most adorable flower girl, was an excellent dancer!
Kevin’s Favorite Memory: There was this extremely long lawn stretching out from the ceremony site to the back of the property. And from the back, the building sat on a rise and was beautifully framed by the surrounding trees and architecture. So I decided to set up family and some of the posed photos down there at the bottom, keeping the lawn and the distance but bringing the building closer by compressing the space in the image. We shot with a 70-200mm, zoomed out to 200mm to really bring the building forward. It was a bit of a gamble, but I loved how it paid off, they’re some of my favorite images from the day.
