Paris in August is glorious: Warm enough to sleep under cool sheets and bike around paris in a skirt (this is Katie, p.s.). Hot enough to want the shade during midday, but nice enough at sunset to pull on a light jacket. Kevin and I had the honor of enjoying such fine weather when we flew from St. George to photograph Nina and Randy's summer wedding at the Chapelle Expiatoire this past August.
We can't say enough about this couple and their family. Nina's beauty comes from inside and radiates out, her one-of-a-kind dress and accessories complimenting her beautiful smile and glowing skin. Kevin and I sort of elbowed one another all day to photograph her. Randy had eyes for only her, looking incredible himself in a classic tailored suit that complimented his simple accessories and laughing eyes. Nina's family took Kevin and I in with their warmth and kindness, sharing their post-wedding champagne toasts and pre-dinner hors d'oeuvres with their photogs. Their love was evident in their long journey from Siberia and the states to see their Nina marry. Both Nina, Randy, and their family were an absolute pleasure to talk to, laugh with, and photograph.
The fabulous Sandrine, from Elegance in France (www.elegance-in-france.com) organized an absolutely exquisite wedding for this Chicago couple. The wedding in Chapelle Expiatoire was intimate but impressive, with a lovely ceremony accompanied by a solo violinist. After a trip through the city with the newlyweds and the family, shooting at various (previously scouted) locations, they ended their night at the Cristal Room Baccarat for dinner.
Surrounded by glittering crystal chandeliers, Nina and Randy and their family shared memories and stories, toasting to both the old and new. It was a perfect day, absolutely lovely, one that we'll remember for a long time to come.
Thank you to Nina, Randy, all the family, and Sandrine, for the incredible opportunity to capture these memories of an unforgettable August celebration.
